Independent singer/songwriter Delaney Gibson’s unique style of confessional, theatrical-pop music is on full display with her new album Tall Like the Tree (2014). She wrote over 72 songs in her Bronx apartment, while living and defining her sound in New York City. When it came time to record, Delaney turned to her close friend and ingenious Producer, Joshua Bartholomew. After two months they left his Los Angeles studio with 11 brave and intimate tracks.
Leah Nobel is a singer/songwriter and model from Phoenix, Az and has recently re-located to Austin, TX. Maybe you have already had the occasion to see her performing, as she has opened for artists such as Emily Wolfe and Raina Rose.
A man and his guitar... honest, unfiltered and true. In a landscape filled with Top 40 beats and harmonizing folk groups, a lone singer- songwriter definitely has his work cut out for him. But David Ramirez isn't looking to top the charts. He just wants to tell the truth.
It's been an encouraging first year for the Austin based indie-folk-americana duo Dawn and Hawkes.
CANARIES IN THE COAL MINE is the shared identity of two independent songwriters: Chase Gassaway & Jordan Whitmore. Their first project together, Scarf Weather, is a collection of Christmas songs with both originals and holiday favorites.
Originally located in Arlington, TX, Chase moved to Abilene, TX in 2003 to study music composition and theory at Hardin-Simmons University. Having formally only worked under other efforts as a hired gun, it wasn’t until then that he pursued his solo career in music.
Studying under Dr. Bernard Scherr, Chase polished his chops as a composer, creating works for a variety of ensembles ranging from chamber music, choir, percussion ensemble to full orchestra.
