Today I would like to introduce you to Alyssa Bonagura. I've discovered this artist thanks to Brite Revolution (Check out this great website, a good place to listen to new music with great music sessions) 2 months ago and since that I haven't stopped to listen to her music.
Alyssa Bonagura is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, TN. Alyssa was born into a musical family (her parents are Michael Bonagura and Kathie Baillie, the country music stars of Baillie and The Boys) and she made her start really early with her first television performance by age 3, a duet recorded with Kenny Rogers by age 10 and her first national tour opening for Marty Stuart by age 13.

After graduating high school, Alyssa received a full scholarship from Sennheiser to Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts in the U.K., where she would spend the next three years earning a degree in Sound Technology while continuing to perform in local venues throughout Europe. Her experience in the UK has inspired her for her debut album "The English Diaries", an all acoustic intimate collection of songs she produced and recorded by herself, which has been released in 2010.
Alyssa Bonagura - "I Make My Own Sunshine"
In 2012, Alyssa has raised 10K dollars through her kickstarter campaign to release her second album "Love Hard". Like in her song "I Make My Own Sunshine", Alyssa's music is like a ray of sunshine in the musical world, who brighten our days. Her music brings joy and good humor. Her melodies and lyrics are as haunting as beautiful. When I listen to some of her songs, it makes me think that she could become the new Sheryl Crow.
