For my new monthly interview for Tradiio, I've chosen to introduce you to the Australian pop/rock band The Encounters. They have released their debut EP "Things That Aren't Real" in March and their single "Sweet Side Effect" attracts more and more listeners every week on Tradiio.
TID - Could you tell us few words about The Encounters ? How did you come together ?
Forming in Perth, Western Australia, late 2014, brothers Callum Robertson (Lead Guitar) and William Robertson (Bass) joined with long-time friend Lewin Riddell (Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar) to begin a new musical project. Releasing their Debut EP ‘Things That Aren’t Real’ in March 2015 saw the band growing a steady fan base and wanting to begin gigging around the local scene. While studying music at uni Will met drummer Oly Gordon and organised to jam with the band.
Today, I've chosen to share with you not an original songs as usual but a unique cover song carried out by Jourdan Myers.
In general when people cover songs, they make a good performance of it but it rarely brings something new.

Wilder Maker is the songwriting project of Gabriel Birnbaum (b. 1986, Boston, MA) a multi-instrumentalist and composer living in Brooklyn, NY. He has performed on stage and on record with artists such as Sharon Van Etten,Sixto Rodriguez, Jens Lekman, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, DeVotchKa, Akron/Family, and SKATERS and his projects have shared stages with The Arcade Fire, Deerhoof, Dr. John, Gogol Bordello, Phosphorescent, and Dan Deacon.
Following up their debut EP "I Won't Follow", the New York based band Secret Someones, comprised of singer-songwriters Bess Rogers, Hannah Winkler, Lelia Broussard and drummer Zach Jones, have unveiled a new track "Let You Go".
