After her debut album “Pinch Me Quick” released in March 2014, the british singer songwriter Kristyna Myles is back with a new album, “Paint A Brighter Day”, funded thanks to a successful campaign on PledgeMusic.
With this new album, Kristyna offers us a pure concentrate of good humour. It’s really the feeling that last after listening to "Paint A Brighter Day". It’s definitely the kind of album everyone should have in its playlist when you need to brighten your days.
The first single unveiled from this album, “I’m getting rid of this”, is a good example of all of that, as it talks about getting rid of all the negative things that poison us.
"I wrote the song initially about a relationship breakdown, but it developed a deeper meaning about taking hold of the clutter that we sometimes harbour that can hold us captive like regret, resentment, jealousy and anger. My hope is that it inspires us to ‘get rid of’ those unhealthy thought processes and frees up some space for amazing positive thinking. Play it loud and proud and get your dancing shoes out!” said Kristyna about that song.
“Paint A Brighter Day” features 11 pop songs about life-lessons written or co-written by Kristyna. It. It’s a color palette combining at once of catchy songs, like “A Change Is Gonna Come” or “Heavy On My Soul”, and more peaceful tracks such as “Autumn” (one of my favorites) or “It’s not about you”. All of that added to Kristyna's gorgeous vocals.
