Rebecca Perl is a singer/songwriter from the exotic tropical paradise we call Long Island, New York. Her music falls within the folk/pop genre with a jazzy twang. Rebecca brings a brand new feel and an original vibe to the female acoustic music scene.
Rebecca grew up in a very musical environment where music had become such a deep rooted part of who she was and is today. She began playing the guitar, singing and songwriting at age 13. At a young age she was incredibly inspired by other peoples stories and had the natural instinct to watch, listen and want to make people feel better. Her words and thoughts turned into music about love, life and self-discovery.
Rebecca spent the majority of her time listening to artists like Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Jewel, and playing at open mics, clubs and in her bedroom. She began exploring new ways to evolve her simple acoustic songs with the integration of other instruments. She released her self-titled EP in February of 2011 while she performed all over the New York City and Long Island areas, bringing the music complexity from the past into the popular music of today.
In early 2012, Rebecca went on tour with Ryan Cabrera, Teddy Geiger and Tyler Hilton down the East Coast. She also had the opportunity to share the stage with artists like Gavin Degraw, Vertical Horizon and Olivia-Newton John. All the while she was writing new music and ready to jump into the studio to record her debut album "Rendezvous".
Rebecca sold out The Studio of Webster Hall at the release of "Rendezvous" in April 2013. It was an exciting time as she began touring with singer/songwriter Howie Day and continued performing at any chance she got. Have a listen to it on Itunes and stay tuned for more new music coming soon...
