Anna Johnson is an Americana / Pop recording and performing artist in Nashville, Tennessee. Her music has been compared to Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Alison Krauss, Sheryl Crow, Colbie Caillat and Sara Groves, but its fresh, wholesome, honest nature makes it something all its own. Her songs sing stories of life and love, friendship and the road, and each one is a result of true emotions and real life experience.
Ready To Go - May 2010 – A pop debut album featuring fabulous studio musicians and a compilation of songs about love and heartbreak from a young hopeful’s perspective.
Winding Road - April 2011 – An pop / folk album debuting The Anna Johnson Band, as they’d gotten together just before the recording began
Christmastime with The Anna Johnson Band - November 2012 – A mix of original and familiar Christmas songs to celebrate the season with The Anna Johnson Band
Here - April 2014 – Anna’s newest [and proudest] album, featuring The Anna Johnson Band, and songs written while she was expecting her first child, Eloise Grace, and learning to be a mother. The album is inspired by the emotions that come from sleepless nights, dreams of hope and a future, and the deep, incomparable love that a mother has for her child. It’s not a lullaby album, but instead sings themes of love, hope, the frailty of life, the joy of true, lasting love, and the value of being content in the here and now.
